On Saturday, April 21, the Birthday Committee was elated as they celebrated the revival of the yearly celebration of everyone's birthday.

The chairpersons and members of the various months did a superb job of decorating and providing delicious food for their tables. There was so much food, that on Sunday, food was served following the morning service.

Thanks to Verdell and Clif Sands in making provisions for our sumptuous 210th Anniversary Cake and also for assisting Mr. Sawyer in setting up tables and chairs respectively. Dave Robinson and Clarence Pleasant made the sexton's job easier by cleaning the floor at the end of the activity.

Older members were happy to see the return of the activity and the newer members seemed very pleased to celebrate and realize what the celebration was all about.

All tables were beautifully decorated as they portrayed a specific theme. None of the tables were judged, but kudos have to go to the month of August, chaired by Shirley Smith, for their creativity. The theme, "Eat Without Heat," and the beach towels for the table cloth were clever to say the least.

The surprise of the day was the return of our pastor who came near the end of the celebration, who was recuperating from surgery.

I extend a gracious thank you to the chairpersons and their groups; to those who were in attendance, and anyone who assisted in any way, especially the office staff.
Now that we know what it is all about, let us make next year's celebration a bigger and better one!
