After a full season of dance ministry The Liturgical Dance Ministry is Back on Our Toes.
THIS SEASON IN REVIEW
February, the dancers accompanied by Mr. Ron Simmons ministered to teen mothers at the St. Anne Infant and Maternity Home, the Children's Dance Team ministered at Asbury UMC located in Northwest, Washington, D.C., ministered at Oxon Hill UMC, and closed out February by participating in St. Paul's Black History Program. In March and April, the ministry traveled to Brandywine, MD to minister at Living Springs Christian Church (of Upper Marlboro, MD) and Good Hope Union UMC of Silver Spring, MD where the ministry participated in a choral concert conducted by Rev. Nolan Williams. Closing activities for the ministry included several members participating in a Dance Workshop at From the Heart Ministries, participating in St. Paul's Warm Nights activity, a birthday celebration for Sister Pat Berry's mother, and the last activity for the dance season was on July 8th, where the children were "Instruments of Praise" during Rev. Oliver's Anniversary celebration service. The Dance Ministry is an integral part of St. Paul's worship experience and continues to dance to the Glory of God and is active in outreach. As the ministry enters its new season, an invitation is extended to all interested individuals who want to dance. Boys and men desiring to dance for the Lord are also welcome.
