This 210th Anniversary year has been focused on learning more about our rich history and how to preserve it. On Sunday, September 30th, at 4:00 p.m., our special guest was Reverend Edwin Schell who is the Executive Secretary Emeritus of the Commission on Archives and History -- Baltimore-Washington Conference. The program was attendance by 49 members of St. Paul. Even though the gathering was informal, Antoine Taylor read the scripture and in the days of old, congregational singing without the accompanying of a musical instrument. As Mrs. Robinson said "What would Ezekiel Cooper find today?" The answer to that would be "A group of Black people" still singing without musical accompaniment. All age groups were eager to hear the word concerning St. Paul's history. He has also served as Executive Director of the United Methodist Historical Society. Reverend Schell's knowledge and love of the history of the churches in our conference make him a valuable resource.
The was also a question and answer period. We look forward to another  visit from Reverend Schell to enlighten us on new things uncovered on St. Paul's beginning.
