Woods wins his second Masters and a place in history as being the first person
to hold four major titles at once. These titles being: the Masters, U.S. Open,
British Open, and the PGA Championship. Woods' career as a golfer began when he
was the age of 2 years old. By the time he was 3, he shot 48 for 9 holes. At
the age of 14, he was the youngest to win the Insurance Youth Golf Classic. In
991, Woods was reported as saying that he wanted to be the "Michael Jordan
of golf." Barbara Jordan - The first black and first woman
elected to Congress from the State of Texas. She was also the first Black woman
to deliver the keynote address at a Democratic National Convention (1976). Texas
will honor the late Congresswoman (died in 1996) by placing a bronze statute of
her in the Austin-Begrgstrom International Airport at the Barbara Jordan
Passenger Terminal in Austin, Texas, by the year 2002.
