This is a very special year for our church -- St. Paul is 210 years old! Throughout this year we will highlight and celebrate St. Paul's rich history.

The year began with an overview of St. Paul's history presented by Doston Burns during Black History Month. His presentation put the church's history into the context of the Methodist movement, Prince George's County history and the progress of free Black people in this country.

We celebrated St. Paul's 210th year at "Everybody's Birthday Party in April with a beautifully decorated cake. A rousing "Happy Birthday" rang through the Fellowship Hall as the cake was cut.

Gloria Turner, vice-chair of the Church Council, has written and is producing a dramatic presentation of St. Paul's history. This play will dramatize the church's history from  1791 to the present. Members of the Nurture, Outreach, and Witness Ministries will participate in what is expected to be an enjoyable afternoon. Mark your calendars for this special event.

Our anniversary year will culminate on  October 14,  at our Homecoming/Anniversary service with Bishop Felton E. May as the speaker.

The months ahead will be exciting ones as we continue to plan and celebrate our beloved St. Paul's rich heritage.

The Music Department plans a special activity during the Fall. More information on this activity  is forthcoming.
