On May 6, the United Methodist Women held their annual  "Women  in White" program. This program enables the ministry to raise money for mission, not only in the United States, but throughout the world.

This year's theme was "Sowing Seeds Through Missions of Love." The message on the theme was presented by the guest speaker, Mrs. Juanita Smith  who is an accomplished motivational and inspirational speaker.

The program also featured a guest soloist, Mrs. Mary Alice Heffner who has had extensive training as a vocalist and has performed worldwide.

Along with that talent, the "UMW Players": Rhutelia Black, LaTonca Harris, Sylvia F. Dorsey and Gwendolyn Baccus, did an outstanding job of portraying women of the Bible: Ruth,  Naomi, Esther, and Mary, Mother of Jesus, respectively.

Another special guest was Ms.Yollande Mavund from the Congo who is currently a student at Wesley Theological Seminary and the recipient of the Epworth House scholarship which is supported by the Baltimore-Washington Conference of United Methodist Women.
