This is an exciting time of year for the Youth Ministry. Many of its members will be saying farewell to the group as they move on and go to college.

Car Wash
The Church School has organized a trip to Disney World to take place in August. To help the youth raise money for this trip, weekly car washes are being held every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Help a youth go to Disney World by participating in the worthwhile activity.

Youth Recognition
Jessica Smith participated in the NAACP ACT-SO program on April 29 by submitting an original play for the Play Writing Division and won "first place," a gold medal, $100 Savings Bond, and an all-expense paid trip to New Orleans to compete in the National Competition. Your church family wishes to congratulate you  and wish you the best as you go to the next step in this competition..
During the month of April, April Pitts traveled to California with her school band--Oxon Hill. Senior High and the school.

Christopher Cruz, who plays the saxophone, performed Minuet and was given a number one rating. This is the highest rating a student can receive.
